IMC’s famous CRY Babies dolls have been victimized by a counterfeiting fraud currently distributing falsified products without authorization. These fraudulent items are being sold at multiple points of sales including kiosks as collectibles within a sealed bag and as concealed bottle house capsules.
The counterfeit products are pictured below. They are leveraging branded colours and the official IMC Toys and CRY Babies logos to appear legitimate.
These items are sold in bags that contain a character and accessories. As shown in the photo below, the counterfeit version is smaller than the original.
Key identifying factors of the counterfeit characters are:
- Very narrow neck
- Paler in colour
- Black hole in the upper chest.
- Accessories are different colours and under no circumstances respect the style and quality of the original brand
Counterfeit Real
The forgeries that come as bottle house capsules are much smaller in size. They include a rigid plastic doll as well as accessories, however they are very different from the original and legitimate items. Under no circumstances do they represent the style, quality and safety of the original brand.

Additionally, the forged instruction manual if formatted horizontally; the original is printed vertically.
